Anyone who disagrees with the op is a delusional diehard supporter of Nintendo. The way consoles are now is fine. The Wii dominance ruined gaming whereas if GameCube or original Xbox dominating would have still moved gaming forward. Sega failed due to a horrible marketing team. Sony's marketing could use work, and Nintendo is reliant on nostalgia and the same ol Mario stuff. I remember the awesome days of backstreet brawler, bad dudes, double dragon and river city ransom. New ip's truly help the market and Nintendo (outside of pikmin /fire emblem) lack that. M$ has relied too much on halo to save them, and Sony better wake up to keep advancing the home console space (the order was an OK try, but Bloodborne did the trick). The winner this Gen will be the company who takes a "from gamers, FOR the gamers" stance. The Nintendo "we know what's good for you" stance is no longer going to work.

This doesn't even make any sense. This thread isn't even about Nintendo.

Also, the Wii dominance ruined gaming? So because Nintendo wanted to do their own thing and were very successful with it, they somehow ruined gaming according to you?

Also again, I have no idea how you're going to say that Sony is trying to advance the home console space in anyway. If you want to actually mention some examples with how you think this then go ahead, but before you mention something like Project Morpheus, Nintendo already tried that as well a long time ago.
