It is not as dramatic as 480p to 720p though. 480 to 720 = HUGE difference 720 to 900 = small difference, hard to notice without being side by side 900 to 1080 = large difference 1080 to 2K = large difference 2K to 4K is a moderate difference from my experience.
Honestly I will not play much above 1080p much because I do not want to ruin my eyes for gaming at 900-1080p on my PS4. I do not have much experience with 4K gaming so kinda take that with a grain of salt. |
What do you define as 2k?
2048 x 1080/2k = 2211840 pixels
1920 x 1080 = 2073600 pixels
Not a huge differences
Anything at around 2500 horizontal resolution, is usually given the denotation "2.5k" but more often called 1440p or 1600p.
2.5k/2560 x 1440/1440p = 3,686,400
2.5k/ 2560 × 1600/1600p = 4,096,000
