I'd say it reinforces that all people are equal. He did not break any exceptional ruling, he handed the maximum punishment for what the judge felt was contempt of tax laws. He's applying for probation. If he gets it, depsite being the harshest penalty, I could cry he's being treated unfairly for his celebrity status! So please don't scapegoat that.
