SPOILERS (obviously)
The last of us. There are a few reasons I love the ending to this game so much. One reason, it went against the popular trend of what games do in the ending. So often now, games end with the main character dying in some heroic fashion. I personally was almost positive that Joel was going to die at the end The last of us did the opposite, it was humble, down to earth, and realistic, which leads into my next point. The ending felt realistic and true to the characters. We spend the entire game killing people for the simple fact that they are in our way. Sure, most of them are pretty bad people, but what makes your characters THAT much better. If you look the entire game is about how Joel and Ellie don't care who they screw over as long as it helps them achieve their goal. Basically what I'm saying is, Joel is not a hero, except to Ellie. At the end of the game, Joel cares only about Ellie. A lot of people talk about how they would have let her die if it meant curing the disease. Well, that's a stupid ending, and it completely contradicts Joels character.

That's my favorite, ending. I also really like the endings to all the MGS games, just because they're all super pretty and artfully directed. I also like the ending to Red dead redemption.
