I dont take it as doom and gloom, not this time. One thing ive noticed is that consoles are booming this generation. Both XBOand PS4 is selling at a faster pace than X360 and PS3. It shows that the market is hungry for these new consoles. While WiiU has been a blunder the XBO and PS4 has flourished.
But I've also noticed a steady amount of mixed reactions towards PC as well recently with people thinking its lesser than consoles. That just isnt true, PC is growing and its fast with both AAA games and smaller games.
I do not agree that XB/PS will be running into any problems by 2019, but i think gaming will be evolving more. I think cloud gaming as an example will be growing soon. I believe that both XB and PS will start supporting cross-platform more by the end of this generation. XB probably first, but PS around 2022.
