Funny that a cod developer already explained how it works. the marketing conditions the audience to like it.

And yet despite this supposed mass conditioning and a similar marketing budget, COD (let alone something like Destiny, which had a colossal marketing budget) receives only a fraction of the critical and consumer praise that GTA gets.

The only possible explanation is that R* are wizards.

No, that's because gta is actually much better than cod (something that I personally think isn't hard to achieve). the annualization of cod doesn't help either.
