Steam and gog fill all my needs now. They're just so convinent. Besides, if you keep an eye out for sales, you wont be spending too much money anwyas.
I've pirated some games, mainly roms, over the years.. Big games these days usually require a lot of fiddling to get around DRM and ever since I got my degree in computer science (in digital games) I really dislike pirating indie stuff. If I ever release a game, I want people to support it, so I do too. I really don't care about the big companies though :P Hipster warning, I guess. Oh well.

HOWEVER, I'm still a firm believer that pirating increases sales.
What does OP think about that?

Sure, during the ps1-2-era, people pirated like crazy. Many stores actually sold "legit" pirated games (ofc, they weren't legit, but real stores! Not some shady guy on the street). I don't think thats the case anymore. As long as companies provide good services, people will gladly pay. Netflix, Spotify, Steam, GoG. Pirates these days often use it as "free demos" and buy anyways, or they're just people who'd never spend any money on it anyways.
