I'll pirate a game every once in a while to try it out. Very rarely do I ever finish a pirated game.
In recent years, Steam has actually deterred me from pirating because it's such a hassle in comparison. I'd rather wait to buy a game through a Steam sale, rather than pirate a game and have it not work, only to spend a ton of time searching for a crack. It's just not worth it.
