What are you talking about Pie? Look at the near universal praise of Destiny and recent COD titles from critics and players! All 95+ meta games. The link between marketing and reception is so clear :p

I skipped those games because they were mainstream and overrated. If a Metacritic score doesn't reflect exactly how I feel about a game then I simply don't play it and consider it a bad game, because these outside factors always effect my experience.
