It is a dick move that could've been easily in the game for free but I don't see it as pay to win. It doesn't make it easier to win, it just makes wins more gratifying for less skilled players. The thought is nice if it wasn't for the money you have to pay for it.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
