PS4 is ahead of the XBO in other retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Gamestop. I'm not sure why the PS4 is out of stock in Amazon. It can mean ether of these three things: demand is high, Sony didn't bother replenishing stock to Amazon, or Sony undershipped.
