From what i read of his statement is just that Consoles are not yet ready for VR and in that respect he is right..

If you re not investing your money and time wisely, thats what he is implying, that is dumb in my book.

About your second sentence, not saying consoles are ready, but I'm not gonna say otherwise either, i don't pretend to know the future , less than a year for we to find out.
