I might be wrong but I don't think it's against the law to NOT use something. Why are you against other people wanting VR? The only reason Phil Spencer is saying this is because MS are miles behind in this regard.

Trying to obviate POE's reply, I think that one of the reasons for not wanting VR to take off is that developers may get carried away and start making its games with VR in mind, resulting in games that offer sub-par experiences for those who don't use a VR helmet.

 

Then don't play games made for VR. How is this different then boycotting crappy ports?

Crappy ports on consoles? We're (or at least I am) not talking about PC but about gaming as a whole.

And don't worry, I don't buy games for its scores or the hype, I buy the games I want to play.
