please elaborate. what does 'just call people out' mean exactly? moan on twitter? please do, no one's stopping you. censorship? if so, you're on the side of history of those who want to censor art. banning certain games? who makes the decision on what game to ban? what gives you or anyone the right to say what i can or can't play?

saying a videogame is rife with sexism... 'that's like your oppinion man'. feel free to not play it then and blog about it. if that's the extent you're willing to go, cool

I don't think censorship has ever been brought into the question regarding sexism, thats the violent games argument often being pushed by people who don't play games at all.

I do however know of a lot of gamers who would consider themselves feminists or at least care about female representation both in and out of games, they obviously don't clamour around forums like this though lol. A key example is Ubi getting shit for not allowing female assassins in Unity and above all the reasoning that sounded really lazy. Given Ubi's history any informed person know they're not run by a bunch of sexists but still calling them out on the issue will make them think harder about it next time and promote the change that those "moaning" want to see.

so the artists and the market at large will decide what will be successful or not successful. if moaning is all the new age feminists would like to do, then go right ahead. to be honest not having a female assassin in assassins creed seems less of a 'gender issue' and more of a 'first world problems' issue in my oppinion.

calling that sexism does a deteriment to what real sexism is (eg: women not allowed to drive in countries like saudi arabia)
