It's amazing but the anime only does about 15% of the actual story of Berserk. The manga is on going since 1992 but it is never going to be finished because the creator only makes like 1 chapter every 6 months. Apparently the manga is around 70% done with 337 chapters. At this rate it will never be finished but the good news is that it is amazing and the best manga ever. 

The movies are a much better place to start. They are expected to continue beyond the eclipse, right up to the current volumes.

EDIT: correction, the novels are the best place to start, then the movies. The animated series isn't nearly as well made as the movies are, on top of which, the animated series ends after the eclipse, whereas the movies will not.
