Um... science says that homosexuality is potentially caused by epigenetics, not genetics. That means that there isn't a "gay gene", but rather homosexuality is affected by the alteration of transcription of DNA to RNA, which will in turn will affect the translation from RNA to proteins. In addition, epigenetics is not necessarily heritable, so homosexuality can happen after birth.

You're all using the term "illness" in a subjective manner rather in a scientific context. A broad definition of illness is a condition that causes pain, distress, dysfunction, and/or death. No where in science and medical literature does it say that homosexuality is an illness because it has not been proven that it actually causes those symptoms.

Here's my comment from earlier: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7176846

were did i say its genetic?  and science doesnt say its epigentics, it says its a mix of genetics, epigenetics and wrong hormones in the mother.

and it medical literature doesnt talk about homosexuality as sickness because they fear the PC police...

and allmost every gay men has some if not all of those symptoms. yes its mostly the society that makes em suffer, but thats normaly no reason to dismiss those symptoms.

Here's your quote here: "and to be clear, you cant cure it, because its all done way before you are born. sure you could find a way to detect and cure it before birth, but that would be way to risky for such an illness."

So you basically claimed that homosexuality is purely heritable. Genetics is 100% hertable, but epigenetics is not. The entirety of your comment is merely opinion, not facts. If you think medical literature doesn't talk about homosexuality as a sickness because of the "PC police" (and seriously, what the heck is the PC police?), then you have no understanding of the peer review process in science literature, at all.
