I think they are going to permaban me... I once tried over the Summer to join using my old college email..
I never checked if I got approved then, since my email account got locked out due to change in college.
Now I'm using another college email.. xD I'm hoping if they accept me, I can just email a mod and tell them if the other account is there to just lock that one.

If you remember your password you should try logging in with that older account. I don't ever remember getting confirmation that my account had been approved in my email or anything like that, I just tried signing in one day and it worked
