I don't even think $100 would be needed. If the Wii U was $249.99, I think it would see a massive, more sustainable boost. The Wii U has a lot of positivity surrounding it after Nintendo's remarkably consistent performance last year in terms of quality as well as the growing diversity of unique exclusives. I think many are teetering on the edge and just need one hard push to get the to go for it. And while games are great for that, price drops have a universal appeal. If Nintendo were to do one with Splatoon or at E3, summer sales could be very good.
