The 3DS is objectively more powerful/capable than the PSP, it's not even an argument. Furthermore, mobile hardware development is improving at an accelerating rate, and if Nintendo is indeed unifying their platforms there can't be a huge difference in the power of their mobile and home platforms. So we should expect the system to be more capable than the Vita.

Does that mean then that the PSP is more powerful than the Dreamcast and its not even an arguament, purely because that link says it is?

Sorry, the PSP and 3DS are a hell of a lot closer than people think.   Ridge Racer 2 on PSP has not been topped yet on 3DS for graphics, neither have games like Tekken 6, Ghost Of Sparta, Nayuta No Kiseki, Kingdom Hearts, Crisis Core etc.  None of those would look out of place on a 3DS whatsoever.

All of this, 3ds might have a higher amount of flops in its gpu, but that is being split 3 ways before it ends up as being pixels moved on a screen. Still tho, guess the 3ds does have double the ram and a few other tricks over the psp's hardware, but I agree with you Kristianity when playing games on the psp some of them are just not approached by anything on the 3ds.

Exactly.  Don't get me wrong, quite a few games on the 3DS impress me.  But thats more to do with the 3D effects than anything else.  Take Resident Evil Revelations for example. 3D effect on full it does look nice.  But if you turn that off, and just look at the graphics your dealing with as opposed to the wow factor of the 3D, its not that far off a PSP at all.  Similar with games like Zelda, Kid Icarus, starfox etc.

The PSP when it came out, was probably the most technologically advanced bit of kit for its time than anything else before it, or after.  I mean, its 11 years old now in terms of specs, yet games STILL look good.
