Those are valid arguments though, just like they were when XP came out...although I'm pretty sure it's even more so, since there wasn't a whole DirectX being exclusive controversy, and performance was generally better for games on XP. Why should anybody switch to Vista, unless they REALLY want the added visuals of DX10, of course suffering some of their framerate?

We're not blind Microsoft haters...if and when Vista becomes the standard and has the best performance for gaming, then we will say Vista is better than XP for games.

Currently, that's not true, so I don't understand why you're even arguing. Do you really love Vista that much? Because I don't know what you're trying to prove. I had it for half a year and while there were some nice features, XP is cleaner, faster, and is easier to work with.

They are valid, and the DirectX issue does make it a lot worse in some ways I admit. But I think these are just the issues that will always exist whenever a new OS is released. XP is better now, and when the successor to Vista is released people will say Vista is superior. No reason to go off complaining since it is just the way the switch takes place. I don't think people should rush off to buy Vista but it is Microsoft to restrict DirectX 10 the way they did, but that is a passing issue.
