I think they're still using Sony's PhyreEngine. It's the engine they used for Demon's Souls, even Dark Souls. Dark Souls 2 didn't use the same engine and that's probably why it didn't have Ragdoll physics.

Demon's Souls ran on the Havok engine, SCEJ made an engine and came up with the bloodborne concept, then they basically told Miyazaki you can make it in to any game you want. 


Havok was just for the Physics, their main engine was PhyreEngine, you can google "Demon's Souls PhyreEngine".
