It really depends on the anime. If the anime is clearly taking place in a Japanese setting or has Japanes themes, I prefer to watch it it in Japanese with subtitles
Example: A Tale Of Princess Kaguya, Princess Mononoke, Death Note, Code Geass, Naruto, Akira (the movie), Hunter X Hunter, and Dragon Ball.
If the anime is based on western themes or has western characters, I would watch it dubbed if the voice acting is top notch.
Example: Hellsing Ultimate OVA, Monster, and Full Metal Alchemist.
However, there are a few anime shows and movies I watched dubbed that are clearly Japanese. I think this is because the english localization was really popular and well marketed
Example: Sprited Away, Dragon Ball Z, Digimon, Pokemon, Yugioh, Paprika
