Quantum Break delay shows a clear problem in the industry

Plus, the season where people buy more games is Fall/Winter (holidays); therefore the delay, they can't afford to present a new IP and shoulder it with Halo, Tomb Raider, Forza 6 (marketing time), COD, Ass Creed, etc...

I doubt they are holding it back.

I mean, from the games MSoft has for this year, the one that looks to be more in trouble is Fable Legends, so if there is one game that had to be delayed, that's the game that would benefit more from it by launching on a less crowded season.

Fable troubled? Nah, that game has been in closed beta for almost 6 months.

It's mostly a mp game, it's not a full fledged Fable.
