Do they only bother releasing block buster titles in the last quarter of the year? Should they be more like Sony and release whatever, whenever they're finished all year round? For as long as I can remember Sony's had at least 1 big game during the Spring (Q1/Q2) season:
2009: Killzone 2
2010: Heavy Rain/God of War III
2011: LBP2/inFamous 2/Killzone 3/Motorstorm Apocalypse
2012: Journey/Twisted Metal/Starhawk
2013: The Last of Us/God of War Ascension
2014: inFamous Second Son
2015: The Order 1886/Bloodborne/???
2016: Uncharted 4/Morpheus launch/Street Fighter 5
This doesn't factor in 3rd party or niche exclusives either, just Sony's output.
I wish MS and Nintendo start doing this soon, I want a big new game to play every 6 months. Nintendo's on the right way with MK and Splatoon both being May releases, Microsoft line up in this season however is traditionally just abysmal, save for Titanfall. They could really use some exclusives in the first half of the year, looking at Amazon charts the console is just sliding further away. You know it's bad when you start bundling indies to be the system seller, no matter how good Ori was, it never was destined to be a system seller. 1.5 years later the XBO realy should not have these droughts.
