There is SO much character, inflection, tone, and personality in Japanese voice acting. It's a butchery to dub it in almost all cases. Even in the best cases (Cowboy Bebop was phenomenally dubbed) there is still a ton lost in the details. In almost all cases the honorifics are lost as well (and the way they are spoken can speak volumes in themselves!).

Look, I get it, it sucks to have to read while watching, but after a while you begin to speedread them, and even better : you start to understand the subtleties and beauty of the original language.
