Agreed. There was a time when I preferred western games over all else, but it's the exact opposite now. Japanese developers just seem to know what I like. I don't typically enjoy playing games that attempt (key word) to emulate real life. I mean, games like Persona do in some respect but then they have some outrageous mechanics like going through a portal in the TV to an alternate dimension. You just don't see stuff like that in most western games anymore.
