I would agree if this were a lone decision then it would be too early. However, this is simply the latest in a long line of disassociation. I posted the events above. I believe MS are planning to leapfrog all the current thumbdrive streaming devices by getting AAA games streamed from PC. Most people would say that is an extremely wise business decision.

I would certainly buy a 99$ thumbdrive that could stream my windows games to tv. Currently, that doesn't exist at that pricepoint. MS have patents and bought a technology sepcifically for that purpose. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems pretty obvious.

Ok, I totally agree on your line of thinking.  I also believe that MS is going back to what they know and thats the PC.   I believe where MS would love for people to purchase a nice PC and it be your server that streams everthing to your TV, Phone, Tablet Ect.  Where technology is today, MS would easily get PC and console gamers including the casuals if they can make the PC the center of all entertainment.

Cheers, and thanks for having an open mind. I also believe PC is at the core of everything. It has power beyond any of the devices we carry. We try to make phones and tvs and everything else the hub, when really the thing with all the power is right there in the den/livingroom wherever. We shouldn't be using the cloud as a server when the pc is right there.

I think MS finally realized this. Spending billions on cloud when we have a consumer liable "cloud" on the pc. Apple is starting to do the same thing too.
