You have every right to dislike Any%, but it is what it is. The category is designed with certain rules, it IS A THING. That whole discussion is so stupid, non-speedrunners go in and claim that the work they do is pointless and their achievements worthless. Think about that for a second! Try that train of thought on ANYTHING in this world! IT WON'T WORK

Actually, how about you try your train of thought in the world outside of the community of Any% speedrunning.

Go into a casino, exploit a glitch in a slot machine in order to win as many times as you want and when the casino finds out, see how they treat you.

Exploit a glitch in a game while in  gaming tournament and see how the gaming community d responds.

 


You have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously. Casino games work by rules, just as Any% does. There is zero difference. Follow the rules or leave. Any% does not allow third party programs for example. Poker does not allow hidden cards in your sleeves. It's the exact same thing. Can you not grasp the concept of a rule based game?
