On a more technical side, what it boils down to is currently, an extra step needed to change the default AF configuration, an extra step that is being left out by developers, one that doesn't actually use a great deal of power when done, but is an extra step not needed for PC/XBO currently. The post launch patches that fix AF issues with no impact to overall performance underline how mundane this issue really is. Link a TS, setup your chain, compile, job done. Depressing that in this day and age devs need their hands holding so much to get the job done. |
Amen. Honestly I think its the same reason not every game is 1080p on both consoles. If they would take the time to adjust settings both consoles could run every game out now in 1080p. Sure the X1 would have its setting tweaked down a lot more than the PS4's, but they would both look better.
Instead the devs just make one game and set the PS4 to 900p and the X1 to 720p because it takes no time at all to do. Then they throw out some of the X1's textures to make it fit on the ESRAM.
Lazy morons.
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:
Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]
3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m
I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
