Hard to find some decent housing due to fast population growth (we had only half as many inhabitants 25-30 years ago), big forrests (Napoleon even called the country "Département des Forêts" after he conquered Luxembourg) and hilly terrain. Oh, and stuck between Germany and France, so historically really a bad place to live. Due to our small size everyone speaks at least 3 languages, with 4 or 5 being the norm on most younger people (luxembourgish, english, french, german and their mothertongue if they have some immigrant background, which many kids do (often portuguese, italian or nederlands)) |
Even our province of Luxembourg is bigger than your country. :p
