What I don't know is how things work in the UK/with the BBC. Does having a contract with the BBC to make a program forbids the ones involved to make another program for another company even if both jobs aren't related? For example, Hammond making Docs and or child shows for the BBC and also making a car show for Sky, ITV, etc. Could this happen?

Hammond has already presented shows on other channels while he has been doing Top Gear, so nope it doesn't stop them from doing that at all.

Good to know.

Now the question is if the BBC is interested in keeping him and May knowing that they already said that they won't make more Top Gears without Clarkson.
