Really? You thought Skyward Sword was the worst Zleda game? Even worse than Zelda II? You can take it a step further and compare it to the unofficial Zelda CDI games if you want to. Personally, I don't think Zelda II was a bad game, but it was a deeply flawed game and in my opinion is the least best Zelda game. Skyward Sword was okay. Also, you're taking things out of context. Yes, Zelda: Majora's Mask did have a one year lifecycle but it also had the advantage on running on the Ocarina of Time engine and it reused a lot of character models and artwork from OOT. Skyward Sword's engine was built from scratch and that game didn't borrow assets from any previous Zelda game. That says absolutely nothing about the quality of either game. Finally, for those of you who are getting tired of that quote, keep in mind that the Miyamoto quote has more relevence in gaming today than it' ever had before. Look at all the piece of junk mobile games and look at all the AAA games that were rushed in time for the holidays. Some will argue that the quote has no relevence in gaming today because of patches, but it actually does. Given that our media gets tired of taking about the same thing for too long, that means everybody will be talking about Assassins Creed and Battlefield when those games come out, not 6 months later. That means if those games give people a bad impression when they come out, that's the perception the games will have forever. What happens months later when the patches do arrive is completely irrelevent because people will have already moved on to the next big thing. They could fix Assassins Creed Unity tomorrow and it would still be known as that unfinished game with the bad glitches. So yes, a bad game is still bad forever. |
Not to mention who buys games to play them months later after they're patched? How many ever get truly 100% fixed? Lol.
