He's saying for lack of a better word "Karma". He wants you to understand what its like to be in his shoes. Most people are blind to their beliefs until they have reality step in.

Western world learned the word "karma" a few decades ago, when we are using this word for thousands of years. Lol. As for the "impact" of the word, I dont care. Because its not applicable for me. I havent done anything bad for anyone.

just the idea that there are people like you that will cheer and celebrate at the idea a business can publically humiliate me by turning me away from a restaurant of whatever just because of my sexaul orientation has almost brought me to tear today.

america was built on the idea of freedom from discrimination.  we established the freedom of reglion specifically to allow people to practice their own religious ideas without fear of persecution to escape an age where people were litterally murdered for having a faith in a god that wasn't 100% aligned with someone elses religion beliefs.   and since those first days america has grown better and better expanding those grand ideas to not allow persecution based on race or gender.

..but now you want to twist freedom of relgion to mean you should be allowed to persecute based on sexual orientation.   this is soo fundamentally unamerican.  you are taking for granted all the freedoms so many people fought and died for.  frankly, it is fundamentally unchristian too.  you can cling selectively to the the portions of  leviticus you want to believe to damn others while choosing to ignore the bits that apply to your life but christ came to set a better example of peace and love and forgiveness.  some day i hope you learn that message too.

i'm confident in the end america will adopt policies that extend the current freedoms religion, race, and gender to sexual orientation.  i'm confident that history will judge you just as wrong as the previous religious extreemist that used the bible to argue that women and blacks are worth less in the eyes of god.  i'm confident that america will choose to enforce policies that celebrate acceptance and tolerance over policies of hatred and bigotry.  i just hope somewhere along the way you learn to appreciate those freedoms and fight to protect them not dismantle them.
