The best part of segments of the press slamming the Wii is, it has no negative effect whatsoever on the Wii. Largely because the sorts of people who the Wii is attracting don't read anything the press puts out in regards to video games. I recall hearing that Mark Twain used to call critics "crickets", and that seems a rather fitting term whenever somebody writes a scathing article regarding the Wii. It ends up just being meaningless chirping that ultimately ends up being background noise, unnoticed for the most part and irrelevant to the majority.
