Oh Dr. Vita. How you remind me of another user, except pro-Vita.
Anyway, not a chance. The Borderlands port which was pretty much mandatory bundled in NA didn't even reach it to half a million. Only 4 games have made it to a million physically.
One thing I will say though - Resident Evil Revelations 2 is exactly the type of game Sony should've been porting to Vita from the start, if they were interested in doing third-party porting work.
It's a Japanese franchise with worldwide appeal. It's a franchise which has been with PlayStation since the start.
So it's hitting a few demographics here that I feel Vita actually has. Fans of Japanese games, there may well be some overlap from the JRPG fans on the console. Long-time Sony fans - well they've probably played Resident Evil in some form over the year. And popular in the Japanese market - where Vita is strongest.
Sadly there haven't been too many other candidates for this type of port, but certainly Final Fantasy Type-0 should've been among them (Final Fantasy ticks all the above boxes that Resident Evil did). Metal Gear Solid too, but I don't think you'd get Phantom Pain running on Vita.
Another great candidate would've been Demons Souls, which is an SCE owned title running on Phyreengine. Really, couldn't have been a simpler choice, but here we are.
Alternatively, go after the PS3 western games with Japanese appeal.
Anyway, sidebar over. I'm just happy we're getting Raid Mode on Vita.
