My CPU has recently been getting very hot while gaming. My CPU is older, but I have not been playing any CPU intensive games. So my questions are: is there a problem with my CPU, do I need a new one, do I maybe need to reapply some thermal paste. Other info. PC was built 3.5 years ago, Heatsink fan is still working CPU is i-5 2500k(it is NOT overclocked) Used thermal paste that came pre-applied Case is dust free Have never had any problems with CPU temps until now Used to idle at around 32C now around 40C or so Game example: Diablo 3 would never get above 72C, last time I played it went up over 90C Any other questions, let me know. Thanks in advance for the help! |
