I didn't reply to that post though. I replied to one where you said people should give it a 10/10 not because it's amazing, but to offset 0/10 scores (to give it a more fair rating). That's all I am saying.

By the way this game does look amazing - beter than the upcoming Zelda.

Reread the conversation. He asked why I would rate it a 10/10. I replied by saying I feel like it deserves a 10/10 or a 9/10 at least and giving it a 10/10 would, offset the hater ratings and put it at 9/10 which is the least of what I feel it deserves. It was the explanation of reasoning for a scoring made in feply to a specific comment. Not a call to all to do anything.

You literally jumped in the middle of a conversation, and without understanding context, made a snide comment that really isn't relevant to the conversation in question...

I didn't quote anything out of context.

In fact I just re-read the reply you gave to th other person and it makes it clear my context is perfect as is. Truck said: "Giving 10/10 reviews to a game to offset haters giving 0/10 is just stooping down to their level, in my opinion."

So basically what I typed still stands.... so I'm pretty much done with this convo. I'm just telling people don't rate it til they've played it. And even after playing it, give it an honest rating, not a rating to offset others.

You actually did. In fact, that is exactly what you did. Not intentionally, I guess. As it is clear you didn't understand what the conversation was about. You just took tidbits that seemed to bother you and didn't take the time to understand why it was being said and for what purpose. Next time, take the conversation as a whole, or stay out of it.

I agree, ppl shouldn't rate unless they've played it. That's what I said and I was talking to the ppl who find the game amazing. I disagree about a non-offsetting rating as being "dishonest". It is simply having an understanding of the hostile rating environment that exists specifically for console exclusives and compensating for it. Overall, it actually makes your rating more balanced and fair.
