The problem is I don't want to put up with any of that hassle or be forced to be digital only and I'm not the only one either. Some people just prefer consoles to PC, that's a fact whether you like it or not. |
What hazzle are you talking about? Its like talking to someone that does not know what he is criticizing. Dont be so vague explain the problem so I can tell you if it really is a problem or not.
PS4 and XBO are PCs running other operating systems!
There is simply no advantage a console has over a PC that a PC cannot also have. Well there is one it is 1 device optimization but that can be nullified. When we would have a "PC Forum" (you know like the bluray forum that consisted of several top companies that decided to create a new standard) that would recommend 3/6 devices having different specs for PCs (that do NOT force people to accept the hardware but lay the foundation for better PC optimization. People can still decide whether to buy those prebuild boxes or build their own) everything would be quite easy.
Optimizing the software for a few systems is not much different than doing it for PS4 XBO WiiU and PC today but it makes "special eco system hardware" redundant which would be something we all should welcome.
I mean Nintendo could still opt for the 720p30 system priced at I dunno 200 bucks? but every owner of the Nintendo system could still play Sony and MS games.
Sony can still opt for the Ultra system and everyone could play Nintendo games in 1080p. Sony Nintendo Microsoft or whoever also wants to be part of the party can individualize their systems with bigger harddrives or more silent or more stylish design or I dunno build in optical audio out or bundle a remote for bluray playback .... but the core system would be the same (just like with bluray players today).
There is no disadvantage at all when you chose the prebuild systems. The only hazzles you might encounter is whaen you ignore the prebuild systems and decide to buy the newest $1000 Intel cpu and the newest Nvidia Titan GPU etc. But thats up to you.
I dont understand why consumers want something that is bad for consumers. I mean do you really want to be forced to buy 3 systems or 4 in case you also play PC games just so you can play all exclusives?
its not like Nintendo Sony and Microsoft cant have their own type of steam store or whatever. They just should stop making hardware that is just unnecessary. If they would start to be completely different I would kinda understand that but the way it is right now is just stupid and the only people that have an advantage because of that are people working at the console companies because they get their share on multiplatform games releasing on their system. (which would not even be much different if there would be a PSN Store eShop and Xbox marketplace that runs on PCs. They would just earn their share through their stores)
Btw
Dont take this so personal bro.
