The best thing would be that everything would be available for everyone  Nintendo etc can still sell you controllers or other hardware that is needed to play specific games. You know like a balance board was needed for WiiFit or a  N64 controller was needed for Mario 64 or Kinect is needed for Dance Central- If possible make all games be compatible with all controllers tho. But bringing new controllers to already existing consoles is NOT a new concept. Racing Wheels exist and also Dance Dance Revolution dancing controllers.

I dont want them to make games for a huge ugly piece of grey loud plastic thats next to my desk but for modern computers  HTPCs  steam machines and whatnot everything today can be a PC even a x86 intel stick.

If you want keep Nintendo because they basically started all of that and are the only ones that keep bringing out completely different stuff   but  a PS4 or XBO is basically the same device as a PS1 or original Xbox (I hate that I cannot call it xbox one anymore FU MS!......) there is actually no need for the device to exist.

How about the people that just prefer consoles? I've got a fairly decent PC (well maybe a little outdated now, but it was decent when I got it) and I think console gaming is just way better. So much easier, pop the game in and play. Yeah sometimes there are patches and stuff but they are pretty much automatic, you can just let the console do its thing and everything will be updated. PC is much harder, with all those driver updates and what not and having to worry about whether you'll even be able to play a game when you buy it. Then there are the controls, IMO a controller is far superior to a mouse and keyboard (except for strategy games) so that's what I want to play with and against.


What exactly is the problem? You can start your PC without ever seeing a desktop you can play games with a PS3 PS4 XBO or 360 controller or one of the billion other controllers. You dont even need a mouse or keyboard to use them.

The "install game to play thing" is also just arbitrary and is unneeded. its just a simple sofware solution that is needed and devs need to finally make PC games the way console games work  and btw we are entering an era where less and less people are going to pop in a game into a device anyway because we will go digital.

There is no difference between say PS4 and XBO   compared to PC other than the first two run some OS that does not have a desktop and has 100% controller support for all menus. This is something that can easily be introduced in windows 10 or whatever. (like I can use the whole android OS with mouse and keyboard as soon as I connect them to the tablet/phone) You make it look so complicated but I do used my PC as a console (for PC games and for emulation) for years. The only thing that I cannot do with my controller is turn on the PC but this is also nothing that cant be fixed if a single person would sit down and solve the problem.
