I think the problem is that the Sony fanboys, when it comes to games, forget the fact that for every time you can list a "great" PS3 game, you can list 2-3 "great" X360 games.
Great games are a subjective term, but the fact is, coming from a user-rated and critic-rated standpoint, the X360 has the vastly, VASTLY better library. Both after 18 months, and currently, for the cheaper point of entry.
Need I quote Gamerankings?
Xbox 360:
90%+ Games: 10 (3 Console-Exclusive)
80%+ Games: 82 (25 Console-Exclusive)
9.0+ Games: 6
8.0+ Games: 43 (3 aren't out yet)
PS3:
90%+ Games: 3 (0 Console-Exclusive)
80%+ Games: 36 (10 Console-Exclusive)
9.0+ Games: 1 (Final Fantasy XIII, which isn't out yet)
8.0+ Games: 13 (Interestingly enough, 7 aren't out yet)

So basically, from EVERY single possible angle, the 360 has the much, MUCH better library. Users, Reviewers, Exclusives, it's all there, and in much, much better numbers.
So in the end, it just leads me to believe that rampant fanboyism is what skews any sort of discussion: no Sony fans want to cite numbers, or anything outside of their own opinions (after all, even in the Sony camp, it's not everyones opinion, and my numbers prove it).
So for everything said and done, the PS3 still isn't the gaming system the 360 is, or even what the Wii is when it comes to exclusives. It still languishes in 3rd place for highly rated games. Sure, you thought Folklore was RPG GOTY, but no critic or average user rating ever thought that. And for that reason, I can say that EDF2017 was my Shooter of the year. That's merely my opinion, not derived from any sort of objectivism...Just like most fanboys, because unless data is involved, it's meaningless arguments.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
