 While a good idea it's got two flaws:

1) As somebody else mentioned hype is a powerful marketing tool.  The problem of course is that hype can be a double-edged sword.

2) Nintendo basically tries to keep game announcements close to the chest with the exception of launch titles.  This results in every two months a flood of "What comes after ......?" posts where everybody starts to think the system is about to collapse as there are no titles left.
