In short, there are people invovled in making the game who are doing it because they have a passion for the art behind it. When a remake happens, it's just cold hard business. The original team has either disbanded, or moved on to something else. What you have is a bunch of suits, looking at quarterly reports and ordering old IP to be touched up by a contracted team of people who work like studio owned song writers, living pay check to pay check. It's just a chase grab. |
A game does not release unless the publisher is certain it will make money from the game. Doesn't matter if its a new game or a remaster. To think its all peaches and cream with new games but just dark clouds controlled by corporate suits with remasters is pure ignorance.
