I think you need to add releases to see that comparison. As I understand, march is usually a dry month for games, so with all the new heavy hitters coming this march, compared to the lack of games that came last month, the same thing that happened last year, dont know about the previous years, this should be an indication that the month does not matter, but what games arrive on that month.

Nope. Let me explain.

Last year XBO have sold in 4 week 258,000 (64,500 avarange a week), and in March 311,000 in 5 week (62,200 avarange on week)... DOWN WEEK BY WEEK WITH TITANFALL RELEASED!? Titanfall that have sold more than 1,000,000 on XBO!? what!?

PS4: up week by week... ok, but don't forget that February for PS4 was nothing, and March was Infamous.

2013

PS3 was GoW Ascension, XB360 GoW Judment, Both Tomb Raider and Bioschock that have sold a lot better than Crysis 3 and Dead Space 3 (released on Feb), but even if this game's was bigger, and March was a 5 week VS 4 week, XB360 and PS3 have sold better on Feb.

XB360: 302,000 (feb) ---> 261,000 (Mar) / WEEKLY / 75,500 ---> 52,200

PS3: 270,000 (feb) ---> 212,000 (Mar) / WEEKLY / 67,500 ---> 42,400

Wii U 2013: feb was nothing, March was Lego U and MH3U that have sold both more than 100,000, but:

Wii U feb 66,000, Wii U march 67,000 (only 1.5% boost with two nice released) / WEEKLY / 16,500 ---> 13,400

That is just example, but yeah, February > March , even if March have more released...

I guess last year was a poor exmple too since the new consoles where on short supply so demand was high. But I hope this trend changes from this year foward, dont like to think about gaming being consentrated on a few months, even if the hollidays are the biggest, I want the year to be high.
