I think what most people are mistaking the demo for is that they think it's the CURRENT state of the game in development when it's not. The demo is a much older build, even older than the trailers they've been showing recently. The most current build is that demo they showed where Noctis and the gang was fighting a behemoth in the City and they showed their character models and a frog. Meaning lots and lots of improvements are to be made to the game compared to the demo. Expect to play a drastically different game at release.
