4 & 5 are very different to the preceeding games so I don't blame you for not taking to them (I personally loved them, but they're not for everyone).

But 3 was literally cut of the same cloth from WA1 & 2 (ability-based puzzle dungeons; Breath of Fire-inspired turn-based combat; high fantasy story with lots of interweaving plots), so I'm a lot more surprised that you didn't like that one.  


Well, to be more specific I just found 3 decidedly average with a more sever dislike of everything after.  There were a bunch of little things that annoyed me about 3, but it has been so long since I played it that I am having a hard time remembering specifics.  I do remember how dumb I thought the combat looked as all the characters would just start running around randomly once you started the action on your turn.
