So what happens when you access the USA store? 

You need a US psn account to purchase stuff on the us store. This means any kind of email adress, some adress in the US (I for example life above the bar from How I met your mother) and that´s it. For payment you can either add your credit card or purchase a physical store card from amazon/various other retailers or get a digital code from amazon (my fav).

EDIT: If you don´t have a us psn account and log in on the us store you will be redirected to the store of your region. AKA you can´t access the US store with a non-us account
Edit 2: you can play all US purchases on any other account on your PS.
