Difference here is that this game was going to be available on PS Now. Majora's Mask couldn't be played on the 3DS otherwise. Wind Waker couldn't be played on the Wii U otherwise.

GOW3 can't be played on PS4 either, even with PSNow because PS now is the PS3 version. So according to your logic there is no "difference".

There seems to be a contradiction here...

Regardless, Majora's Mask is 15 years old, and Wind Waker was 11 when that game came out. God of War 3 is 5 years old. That's not even a full generation.
