If third parties can fill in the so called "Mature" Need, I don't think Nintendo really has to develop any. Third parties have plenty of "Mature" games and Nintendo exclusives sell a lot so if you combine to two, it should be fine

I think Nintendo handhelds will be fine for a few more generations cause of Nintendo IPs and their exclusive games and their deals with third parties like MH and Yokai Watch (ironic in a way). Its like how the ipod/itouch still exists even though there are plenty of phones for about the same price.

Then what seperates them from MS and Sony who are better at what the majority of gamers want?  Nothing against Nintendo but the vast majority of gamers will take Uncharted or Halo over any Nintendo franchise. For me I will take Zelda over either, but I will take Bloodborne over any Nintendo franchise

Nintendo handhelds may profit for a few more gens but it wont be enough to hold Nintendo up by itself. The 3DS is already going to fall way short of the DS and the 3DS successor will fall way short of the 3DS.

You mean like this with the ipod? lol

There may still be a small profit for some of their MP3 players but the market is waaay smaller than it was
