But thats what I don't get though. The ps4 should be powerful enough to render at a higher resolution + maintain equal frame rates right? Or am I missing something?

well then its obviously not. besides its 50% more powerful, which is completely different than xbox one being 50% as powerful. so xbox ones roughly 75% as strong right?
