One thing I'm curious about. If we do the free upgrade, does that mean we have a fully copy of Windows 10, or do we just have the "upgrade" copy? I had a full copy of XP, with upgrade copies of Windows 7 and 8. But somewhere along the way, I lost my copy of XP. So now I have two upgrade OSs but no full OS in case I need to start from scratch again. Would be nice if I could just install Windows 10 from scratch without having to worry about keeping prior versions around.

You can either do a clean install or just a regular one. Since I have windows 8.1, I'll just do a normal upgrade path.
